Success!
Successfully added links to the sidebar as well as technorati code. Blogger seems a tad slow right now -- or is it me?
No Ping by Default!
I've just enabled the ping to weblogs.com -- it was disabled by default. We'll get into the photo uploading and inserting tests later.
Link management
Right, I'm getting picky here, but I'd say a blogging platform nowadays really needs a links/blogroll management system.
The best I've seen so far is at ViaBloga. You just enter the URL of the link you want to add, and it fetches the link title, a sreenshot, the RSS feed... Just perfect for people who need to add lots of links to their sidebars.

The blog-testing binge continues
Kevin suggested I go forth with the blog-testing enterprise, so here I am.
I already appreciate being able to switch from the graphical editor to the HTML source -- that was a specially nice thing when my first link (on Kevin's name) decided it was going to be a neverending link spanning all my post.
I've used blogger before, but not BlogSpot. So here we go. Expect some nasty feedback, as always.
(Oh first, gripes, long-known: no categories, no trackbacks -- I mean, hey! this is 2004!)
